Edit or molest the buddy list properties (or one of those high tech robot words of the future) so that you don't need the name of a real member written down for it to work? Just a suggestion.
Thanks for your time.
EDIT: RSL has my back on this one.![]()

What?
I'm not an Admin, MP, but that sounds like it would require hacking of some sort.

1337 h4x of vB isn't too terribly hard. But generally results in some unwanted results.

Ah, you want to put all kinds of amusing names on your buddy list, right?Originally Posted by Meat Puppet
I can foresee problems. If you had a real person on your buddy list, who then changed their name, they'd stop being a member of your list. The list should be compiled using member ID numbers, rather than usernames - that way, there'll always be 'real people' on your list, even when they change their screenname.
Your idea would be good for putting non-existent members' names on your list, but it'd also make it exceedingly difficult to keep track of which 'buddies' were real. Also, your buddy list wouldn't be able to have neat hyperlinks to take you to the profile of each person.
Or so I believe...
I'll be your buddy if I can have a pelican wearing briefs.
...
I pity the people on Puppets' list.
