Never heard of it. Link?
I realize this thread is probably long dead, but I'm gonna bump it back to life instead of making a new one, since this one IS here (albiet far off topic ^_^) But now that the Official Playstation Magazine released E3's demo of SotC I figure it's worth talking about. Though there are a bit of framerate problems and visual pop-ups, the look, sound, and general feel is like a really vast Ico. And the demo is 3 months old, and they've been working on it almost the whole time, so the final release won't have probably any of these problems (hopefully).
Anyway, I am in just pure awe simply riding across the vastness of the valley you start in. Kinda like riding Epona across Hyrule. Except... indescribably more-so. I would highly suggest anyone get this game just to ride/walk/climb around and SEE everything. It's that beautiful. Ico was the same way. Everytime I cleared an area I had to stare at the next one for a bit in disbeliefe and awe and wonder.
Yes. I am in love. Cannot wait.
The official US site updated. Also, have some mp3s.

Ooo awesome. I was listening to that music like crazy on the site ^_^
"pfft" Nico would've been better.
It's actually based on that? I thought so from the moment I saw it.Originally Posted by Kawaii Ryűkishi
This seems interesting. I might have to buy Ico.
Its got a nice box and pretty scenery and graphics and the storyline seems nice and touching but I found the game boring.Originally Posted by Craig

Yeah I know, The original name wouldve been better.Originally Posted by Dreddz
Ico was named after the main character. The main character in this game is not called Nico :D From what I've gathered he doesn't have a name. He's called Wanderer, which somehow was interpreted by American audiences as "Wanda". Hence the "Wanda and the Colossus" thing, and why they changed it so people would stop calling it that.

It looks like the ground had a sex change.
The title of the game is indeed "Wanda and the Colossus" in Japan. It was changed because English-speaking people would naturally recognize Wanda as a girl's name, which would be awkward. However, the intended interpretation of Wanda's name is "wander," in reference to the vast game world and the incredible amount of travel, exploration, and discovery therin. It's still spelled Wanda, though. That's the thing of it.Originally Posted by Vyk
Wanda apparently doesn't have an official name outside Japan, but the localization manager personally refers to him as "The Wanderer," and the fans have naturally followed suit.
I'v played the demo on my PS2 and can't stop...just the demo is HUGE! and the gorgous graghics mixed with celtic music are my little taste of heaven. dose anyone know the releas date for the game?
