Why are we having so many plane crashes recently ? Think that crash in France a week back, one in the Pacific, and now a horrible one in southern Greece.
I sense something is amiss...![]()

I'm pretty sure the Greek one was purely an accident.
Talk about tragic.Originally Posted by cnn.com

Where have you been the last four years? It's really sneaky terrorist that are good at being in just the right spot so there's no traces of their body left (no seriously, my dad said so).
I haven't been hearing about many...I just heard about the Greece incident listed above, but that's it.
I like Kung-Fu.
You would like to think that after each flight a plane is fully serviced and give a 2000 point inspection...but really it is more like 25 minutes and that is mainly unloading people from the last flight and loading the new people and their luggage for both. Then refuel and a quick one over. Keep in mind how old some of these planes are getting to be and how much they are used. I am not super surprised that many has happened in a short time but still some what surprised.
I've noticed the same thing, but I've noticed it pretty much every year for the past five years, so I've come to the conclusion it is this common, and I simply wasn't interested enough in the news to notice beforehand.
What people don't seem to realize is that there's hundreds of flights from place to place each day that go smoothly. So no, this sort of thing is very uncommon.

I ought to clarify: By 'this common', I do not mean it necessarily is common, rather that this is the expected and normal level for plane crashes, malfunctions, and the like, and that it is not higher than normal.
And the number of flights per day has been severely underestimated. Hundreds is probably the number at a single major airport like Heathrow, LAX, or O'Hare.
Besides which, if they were common, they wouldn't be news.
I'm going with Docfrance, I would still trust my life with an airliner over an automobile any day. These are just coincidences. Sad though.
"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here this is the War room"
It's pretty funny that so many people fear planes, yet they'll get in a car multiple times a day no problem...though I'll admit, there was a time I was like that.
Then again I was 12.

Another plane crash today, in Venuzuala. 153 dead.
This is starting to disturb me.Is this just a bad week for airlines or what ?Originally Posted by tomamar04

Its like riding on the back of someone's motorcycle; You may be find driving one yourself, but to sit on back takes trust. Not to mention with the terrorist activites, and just bizzare mishaps of late.
It kinda freaks me out.

So yeah.. planes scare me.. and with terriorist targeting them.. well I may not be riding in one anytime soon unless I am the pilot(not a good idea if you read the above paragraph).
