As for the end of humanity. Very few people realize just how close we are to it.

I never said I did. I was commenting on the number of ways life can be wiped from the planet, and the startlingly high probability of it happening.

I think it will end before then. The sun will grow so big that it engulf's the earth.

By that time the star is dying and will only last a few thousand more years.

Actually, our sun is too small to become a black hole. It would most likely peter out into a brown dwarf.

And the expiration date for our sun is five billion years, give or take an eon. I would hope we'd be off this rock by then. If not, something else will have killed us off first.
