Think what if critical events in the past 100 years had turned out differently -where would we be now ?

Think about it though -what if World War Two hadn't ended when it did and dragged on into the early 50's?What ifHitler,having managed to murder the entire Jewish population of Europe and occupy the UK,was assassinated by his own subordinates and the country descended into revolution,while the Americans were bogged down in a disastrous invasion of the Japanese Islands,and China, now firmly under Nationalist control after the defeat of Mao Tse Tung's CCP, marched against Russia ? What if there had been a massive breakthrough in genetic science enabling cloning ? What if America lost the " Race to the Moon " to Russia ? What if the Vietnam War was a success ? Suppose the Great Depression hit us in the mid-1980's ?
Or suppose even recently,the two planes which flew into the Twin Towers on 9/11 actually hit the White House,killing the President and his family ? Think about it - how would the world be today if things had gone a little differently ???

Well alot of things will be different(minus the recession during the 1980s which is pretty much a depression although not as huge). I would assume things for the communist to change soon enough though without opposition to something better.

Not true, Hitler (alledgedy) wanted to start discussions with one of Britains Earl's (forgot who), and apparently, Hitler's ulitmate plan was to team up with the UK and take over the world together.

But this could just be a piece of historic fiction.

Well, maybe he wasn't out to get every single Brit out there and kill him (like he wanted to do with the Jews), but he most certainly wouldn't have any bargain, deal or trade with the British dogs. He regarded everyone in the world, save Scandinavia, Austria, the Baltics and Netherlands as inferior races\countries.
