It is Tidus, and I think it's just the first line that Tidus says in the game.

Nah, the actual translation of what is said isn't as clean as the english dub. That's just a good example. I used to have an English script to the Japanese version, before FFX was released in the US. Alot of differences, but since when is that new with English dubs? *shrugs*
