PLEASE HELP ME, (photoshop trouble)

hi, im using adobe photoshop 7, everthing works fine untill i try to add text to whatever im making, it just duznt show up, it is there as a layer but i can actually see it please please help me so i can go back to making sigs for ppl and ITS DOING MY HEAD IN !!

Make sure you're using a different color than whatever background it's on. If that doesn't work, try double clicking that layer's icon in the layers palette.

well like it sez iv fixed the problem and it duznt matter im just waiting for this to get closed
