Thread: Let's do this again.

    Default Let's do this again.

This worked out really well for me last time; I got to hear a bunch of cool bands and revisit some old ones I had nearly forgotten about. So I'm gonna ask again: Write down a band and give a few (around three or so, not hard-and-fast) must-listen songs by that band. I'll start off.

    Atmosphere
    - Always Coming Back Home to You
    - Bass and the Movement
    - Godlovesugly
    - Reflections

    Blackalicious
    - First in Flight
    - Make You Feel That Way
    - Release
    - Day One

    Black Star
    - Respiration
    - Brown Skin Lady
    - Definition

    Coldplay
    - Don't Panic
    - Shiver
    - Spies

    etc etc etc.

The idea is for you to preview these bands by listening to these songs, and decide whether you want to listen to more. If not, you at least might end up with their few good hits.

I'd like to see more Beta Band, UNKLE, Minus the Bear, Franz Ferdinand, Hanson Boy Modeling School, as well as some more diverse genres - I need more good soul and gospel music, especially. Oh yeah, good modern jazz like MMW would rule too.

What the... what is this place? Where is my Tangerine Dream?

Seriously, I don't know any of those bands... except Coldplay.

Kishi, you'll have to send some of that stuff to me on AIM or something because I can't find any of it on Limewire

It's just that indie and obscure. And underground. Yeah.

I gave up limewire to collect albums and believe me, it was so worth it. If an artist makes that great of music, then they deserve the respect for their listeners to at the least pay for their hard work(it's harder to write a song that goes together with all the other instruments).
