Pop, Truth with Elegance and Drowning utterly devastate those few, and though I do love Cerebra, if you want an early song then the Different Demo is where it's at.Originally Posted by Kyono

Well, I was going to add Pop, but I dunno. I figured those would be easier to download as an Introduction to HR, 'cause they're mainly singles and all. I was just listening to Pop, actually. I wanted to add Kill the Silence to the HIFH list, but then I already had four. Sick Happy is good as well, but it slipped my mind when I was making the list. But I haven't heard that much of them, so I could only give what I know B) The last time I saw them live was ages ago, and the main thing I remember is sitting on the floor at the side of the venue with the singer from Kinesis stood in front of me.
Pop needs to be listened to by all because PAUL NEEDS LOVE JUST LIKE COLIN >=(
Also, Sick Happy is the most insane song ever live.
Last time I saw them, despite having jumped around like an energizer bunny hooked up to a car battery, Justin still had the energy to jump on James' back and scream out the last few lines as well as ride him around while he was still playing the bass.
Combine that with Joe throwing drumsticks into the crowd, and the roadies tossing water bottles all over the place, and the crowd screaming along and just generally being insane, it was the best damned thing ever.
xD So does Larry. Larry is cool. And yeah, HIFH was a great live show, as were all the Hundred Reasons shows i've seen. They're great live, I love it, no flashy lasers or any crap like that, they just play loud and hard and passionate and it's great. In fact, I went deaf in my right ear for about a year after seeing Hundred Reasons the second time, I think because Andy's bass was turned up so loud and it was right next to my ear.Originally Posted by Lindy
Damnit, I didn't get Paul and Larry mixed up did I? I can't remember properly...agh.
I've only seen Hundred Reasons once, that was the Astoria gig just before the Shatterproof release and tour, XFM Award show gig I believe, I was really lucky to get a ticket.
That and they were supported by thisGIRL, Coheed&Cambria and Thrice, oh jesus that was a good gig.
I've seen HIFH about five times though, and it gets better every time XD
Anyway, as ever, I should suggest some Ok Go.
Get Over It
Unrequited Orchestra of Locomotion
Hello, My Treacherous Friends
Return
Then there's stuff from the new album which isn't even out yet, so I'll put that separately.
Oh Lately It's So Quiet
Television, Television
Crash The Party
The House Wins
Nah, Paul is the singer on Pop, well the main singer anyway. Larry does the "No excuses, will make this worth it time again" bit. But he's just cool.
The best HR gig I saw was at the birmingham academy with some random pop-punk band who I missed, Kinesis and Sparta for support, and that was awesome as well. I saw them when they had Biffy Clyro for support as well, that was ace. It's the same with HR actually, they get better every time I see them. Actually I think the Biffy Clyro gig was for the shatterproof release. Oh wait, it was after. Yeah, never mind.
I'll do about 3 or 4 per artist or band because I'll be writing this post all day if I don't.

Biffy Clyro were supporting on the Shatterproof Tour, I remember because I stole one of the posters. I was gonna go see them at the Astoria on that tour, but the ticket was like, £20 or something, and I had less of an urge to see them at that time.Originally Posted by Kyono

Personally, I'd suggest "The Quiet Things That No-One Ever Knows" over Guernica, and "Jaws Theme Swimming" over Good To Know, I love both songs the songs you suggested, but the two I've pointed out are a touch easier for people to get into over yours.
And The End Has No End is probably the greatest Strokes song ever.
I havnt heard all her songs but..
Björk
Jóga
Play Dead
Isobel
The Rasmus
No Fear
Time To Burn
In My Life
Nightwish
Phantom Of The Opera
Dead Boys Poem
Dark Chest Of Wonders
I just downloaded it, because I only bought Is This It today, and I agree. I like Last Nite just a bit more though, it's such a good song.Originally Posted by Lindy

Their studio stuff is horrible compared to their live stuff, so if you want
MMW, get some lossless bittorrent shows from bt.etree.org or get some
live MP3 shows from www.nugs.net
Also, eest, you should check out some stuff by Zorn, Medeski, Ribot and
Martin. They've done a few shows together and they always come out
awesome.
