I was going to comment in this thread, but then I made the mistake of actually reading the replies and was almost violently sick.
"When you're strong, you can have all the freedom you want." How did the US become strong, exactly? By being the most free nation. Throughout the 19th century, the degree of a country's freedom was directly proportional to its degree of economic growth. Do you people simply ignore this?
