The statue of the Past Regent Cid in Lindblum?
I'm pretty sure he was Cid VII.
The statue of the Past Regent Cid in Lindblum?

I think that's Cid Fabool VIII, but nope.
Is it the Blue Narciss? There's a card of it and Cid made it... I think.
Nope, it's not any card or its motif.
Found by the nimrod that arrived
In home of minds which us contrived
We've established that is related to Lindblum. Now, a "nimrod that arrived" there, what does that suggest? Does it ring any bells?
Does this have anything to do with "Hunter's Gate" in Lindblum? I keep thinking that the nimrod that arrived, nimrod = hunter, Hunter's Gate = relating to hunters arriving through that gate rather than it just being a gate =p
I'll figure it out later...
 Oh no. That's a good guess.
haha as rants will probably mention, I tend to look too deep into these riddles =p
I'll figure it out later...
Hey, there's nothing wrong with that. I think this riddle has lived longer than it should, and pray your answer is right.
Not to say I don't enjoy your riddles Rantz.
Ah its not an answer :P it's just merely a guess as to what the hunter refers too. He mentions that the answer is multiple so the gate itself isn't the answer =p I'm just trying to find a basis on where to be looking =p
I'll figure it out later...
I knew I could count on you to make a breakthrough! Yeah, the nimrod that arrived in Lindblum would naturally arrive through the Hunter's Gate! That's as far as the relevance of the "nimrod" goes. As I've mentioned a few times, the second part of the riddle is basically directions to the answer. Hunter's Gate is the start! Gogogogo
Edit: yeah Guardian I agree this riddle has been more long-lived than it should haha.
Ok, I've got it!

THE CARD COLLECTOR VOL's
There are 3 in total, with the first one (Number 7) being found in Card Freak Gon's house on the bookshelf, along with 2 treasure chests being the only visible items.
Rantz said it had a link between Tetra and Cid, - Whether Cid actually created these is to remain a mystery, however, Cid's last name is Fabool, therefore the link is shown.

Omg Tiffie Trust you to come in and work out the answer in an hour. I just checked back and this riddle has been going for over a year! A year!
Yeah, the answer is the Card Collector's series. Volume 7, 8 and 9 can be found in Card Freak Gon's bookshelf each at a different point in the game. You got the reasoning pretty much all down; the last line is the last piece of the "directions" to the answer: You start at the Hunter's Gate, and head forth four times. "Still far from the north" refers to the fact that what's here referred to as "forth" is often called north in descriptions and such, so you'd be walking to "the north" but, being in Lindblum, you'd still be in the southernmost part of the world.
Hehe Quin will be pissed! Or maybe relieved. :P Make us a nice riddle, anyway, Tiff!
Look at it this way: you're carrying on the tradition of FFIX riddles.
You know I read that book several times and it never occurred to me. Goddammit.
Great riddle Rantz. And well done MsTiffie, swooping in and getting the answer like that.
I'd like to thank this thread for its long and loyal service. Here's a new riddle thread.
