    The riddle
    Waiting here
    anticipating twilight's end
    in hope of finding love
    fighting sickness

    Void was my brawl;
    it drenched me.

    ====

    Wrong guesses
    Kuja
    Zidane
    Garnet
    Freya
    Vivi
    The black mages
Marcus from "I want to be your canary"
    Steiner
    Charles Dickens
    Brahne
    Beatrix
    Steiner
    Garland
    Eiko
    Cid
    Blank
    Alexander
    Vivi
    Moguta
    Sir "Irontail" Fratley

    ====

    Hints / other notes
    Find the 'me'
No direct connections to EoFF forums
    No direct connections to Terra
Analyze the sentences rather than the words
The riddle is very much literal
Only one word is strictly metaphorical
The second verse is sort of "linked to" something from the first
    Try to connect the verses
"Putting my breath to rest" is not referring to death or destruction of any kind, but it isn't the metaphorical word earlier hinted about either.
The answer is not a main character
The answer is not crucial to the main storyline

this is probably wrong, but "twilight's end" makes me think of Treno where you begin the search for the 13th stelazzio, and don't two of them "kiss" after you find it (referring to searching for love).... I don't know...

Brian: "If I remember correctly, this is the Physics Department."
Chris: "That would explain all the gravity."

Is it a he, a she, or an it? Example of it: Non human or Brahne.

Sorry, but answering that would narrow it down too much. That's like excluding 2/3 of possible answers in one hint =)

Depends how big the last third is ....

I still think that if one can get the "anticipating twilight's end" part cracked, then the rest will be easy.

You've said before that the grammar may be wrong, or summat along those lines, so by "anticipating" do you mean "looking forward to" or just kind of "before". Because it could mean either that the character is looking forward to the end of something, or that the character is just one that happens before something.

If it's looking forward to then I'm guessing Garland. He makes sense to the riddle occasionally, but I'm pretty sure that the reasons for that are too deep in thought. As you've said, it's very literal. But yeah, I'll go Garland.

It's kind of both I guess, but mostly it's in the "before" meaning as you call it.

I can definitely see how you think that, but I'm sorry to inform you that once again, you're wrong

New hintThe second verse is sort of "linked to" something from the first.

Blank because of the stone covering him "it drenched me" "void was my brawl" he couldn't escape it. It's probobly wrong and plus I'm too lazy to give the rest of my explanation."Please reason more" You never said give all reasonings.

Sorry, wrong. You're still stuck on metaphors here

And don't reason for my sake, the reason I want you to reason more is to help you on the way. You won't be able to get it without reasoning, but if you know that you have a good reasoning to back your guess up and you just don't feel like writing it all out, then by all means don't.

Remember, Rantzien is not an Native English person, so as he said, metaphors etc aren't going to be the case here. Every line is literal, but only one word in particular is metaphorical.

I know it's most likely wrong, but Alexander?

Putting my breath to rest - Alexander is destroyed by the Invincible.
anticipating twilight's end - I feel that twilight is the metaphor here, and it may relate to glory and hope. When Alexander appeared, it was to defeat bahamut.
in hope of finding love - unsure of this line, Garnet and Eiko were the ones who summoned him, therefore Garnet could have wanted to keep love and peace in the kingdom.
fighting sickness - sickness can mean to destroy ones healthy condition. The invincible took away that from Alexander.

Void was my brawl; - He was destroyed while fighting to protect the kingdom
it drenched me. - Removed his powers
    I'll figure it out later...
