Right. The answer is something that is seen. That's obvious. But it only exists (I'm guessing "exist" is used for "live") in "dreams of darkness". Darkness is commonly associated with evil or bad things, so I'll assume the metaphor is evil. The "dreams" could mean it's something unreal. Something out of the ordinary. It also exists in "beams of light" so the answer lives somewhere unusual and evil, but in a lighted part. Hm. "In duality I'm not" probably refers to there only ever being one of it. But could also mean that you only get one chance to see this event. And "I shine with purple as I am" means, I think, that when you see it, it's purple. In a sense of activation. The "as I am" made me think of it that way.


So, the answer is an event that happens in an evil and unusual lighted place, and you can only view this event once. When you see it, something is purple.

Bit vague I know, but I'm hoping for some feedback from it.

'Exist' means 'live', or 'happen', yes. So it doesn't happen except for in the contexts given. And 'darkness' and 'light' are two differents contexts, so to say.

'dreams' refers to the wishing kind of dreams.

'duality' refers to... well it's hard to explain without giving it away. Just remember that when duality is, the event is not. When the event is, duality is not.

'I shine with purple as I am' - This line isn't something you find out from the game or can be proven by playing it, it is rather a vague assumption based on logic from my viewpoint.

Ah right. I like the duality bit, I didn't think of it like that.
OK. I'll just discard the last line for now then.

Hmmm...duality....duality....that makes me think of Zorn and Thorn. As I can see duality as a term for something in the game. If that was right, then it's an event near Zorn and Thorn. It could have something to do with the Mulitgemini and the Madeen appearance, as that's a more important event with ZnT.

Hmm....let's see.

and beams of light. ------ I think this has something to do with Madeen. Even though Mog is seen, Madeen only comes to life when Kuja's hopes for his evil schemes to work. Or this could refer to Multigemini's feelings towards the characters, as it wishes to kill them. The beams of light refers to the light that comes out of Mog when she transforms.

In duality I am not ---- Madeen appears just after Zorn and Thorn have become one. Meaning that their duality turned into a single entity.

I shine with purple as I am. ---- This could be your interpretation of the colour that blasts out when Madeen appears, or the colour surrounding it's attack.

Great guess and reasoning but unfortunately wrong.

Hint: Beams of light does refer to a projection of the type you can find in Oeilvert.

The second line from the bottom is wrongly intercepted, it's a bit more complex than that. The rest is fine as far as I can see.

And purple is the colour of royalty and luxury, yes, but colour symbolism isn't what this is about.

I'm gonna go right ahead and assume that darkness is a metaphor for evil.That would make the answer the event in which one who hopes for evil is projected.

Hmmm...duality. I think a meaning of that would help. *waves magic wand*

Hmm...my good friend dictionary.com says that duality is the term given to the division of something into two contradictory parts. So when two things that contradict each other are "gone", this event happens.


Sorry, I forget. Is this event one that happens without changing to an FMV, or is it an FMV?

Darkness is _sort of_ a metaphor for evil. But as Squall in FFVIII says, there is no good and evil, there are only two sides with different views. So it might not be entirely evil and remember that what we call evil is a side, so it has it's representants... enough about that.

Duality wasn't meant to be very complex; just the act of being two/divided/apart.

It does not appear in an FMV.

Ahhhhh! Now that is delicious! Doesn't help me though...grah. I'm thinking along the lines of the 4 fights to get into Terra, and somewhere near there. An event with projections around the time of the 4 fights....hmmm....Urgh. These riddles would probably help if I had played FF9 recently. I could be on completely the wrong track, but the duality made me think of when you split the team apart. So it's when the teams a big group!

There isn't really any projections on the way to Terra. It could be the wall with all the gemstones of each shrine on it? but then they don't really have any beams of light.
