Does Tidus look Japanese?

i think all ffx characters (with exception to kimhari) looks japanese. rikku even reminds me of hikki (utada hikaru). it might me that tesuya nomura wanted to return to his roots.

btw other characters like ffvii and ffviii. most of them are caucasian (sp?)

If I recall correctly, Tidus is the word for "sun" in the Okinawan dialect of Japanese. This would better relate Tidus to the Sun Crest and Sigil, as well as tie in with the point concerning Okinawa that Kishi made.

I think alot of the Charcters look Asian Except a few

1.Auron-Just doesnt look asian to me
2.Wakka-He looks Hawiian and sounds it too
3.Lulu-She doesnt look that asian.....Maby its just because ive havent stared at her face in a LONG time.

I never really thought they did in-game, but in the FMVs many of the characters have a decidedly asian look to them. It makes sense, really, since it's a Japanese game.

I noticed that at a magazine rack before FFX came out .... I was looking screenshots during the pre-game hype and looked down and there was another 'zine w/ Meg Ryan on it....
And Blamo....
I releized that they were separated at birth....

i think they all look japanese. its not like tetsuya nomura when he intended the character design to look japanese. look at auron and lulu completely, i see some resemblance among the japanese.

Alot of FF Characters actually resemble people from Japanese culture at the time. Tidus resembles a Japanese singer named Gackt.
