    Default Tori Amos

Thought it was time for another thread of hers as I see an increase of Tori fans lately. I can't say if she or Amy Lee is my favourite singer. I'd say it's about even know, which is saying something if anyone knows my Evanescence obsession.

Tori is an amazing artist. She has so many albums and they all have a different style to them. She is not as good as she used to be, but even her recent album, The Beekeeper, is pretty good.

Her lyrics are great, her voice is very nice, and though her piano playing style is very minimalist (I guess that's how you would describe it), she's still very good at it. Tori is awesome.

What's your favourite album by her and song, also? My favourite album is Scarlet's Walk, but my favourite song is Lust, from To Venus And Back.

Choirgirl Hotel is my favorite Tori album. I don't know if I have a favorite song.

I like Little Earthquakes the most. My favorite song is either Concertina or Crucify, can't quite decide. Although, I find myself whistling To Venus And Back's Mr. Zebra a lot because I played it so many times to figure out what she says at the beginning.

I really like her covers, specifically this Nirvana cover she did of Teen Spirit (I'm sharing it on soulseek if anyone wants it, username Zipster). '97 Bonnie & Clyde conveys strong emotions, especially for a song originally by Eminem. Although, as a huge Depeche Mode fan something tells me I should like Enjoy the Silence a lot more than I do.

'97 Bonnie and Clyde and that Depeche Mode song (Enjoy the Silence) are really good. I liked Smells Like Teen Spirit, but I still like the original too much to really get into it. I liked her cover of Raining Blood by Slayer the best though, it's amazing. And I can't forget to mention the cover of Heart Of Gold by Neil Young, it's good too.

Little Earthquake and Choirgirl Hotel are a close second, as well with Boys For Pele for those few REALLY good songs on it (Caught A Lite Sneeze, Horses, Mr. Zebra.) My least favourite CD is either Under The Pink or Strange Little Girls, but I don't even know if SLGs count as it's a cover album. Under The Pink is still really good though, if just for Icicle, Baker Baker, Cornflake Girl and Pretty Good Year.

She covered Raining Blood by Slayer, which is pretty funny.

It is kinda funny, but I'm going to be honest and say that her cover blows the original out of the water completely.

I heard a few songs by her (the ones Rye recommended to me in this thread) and my favorite was Cornflake Girl - I really liked the pounding piano in it a lot. Her singing is pretty good, but the other songs I heard by her weren't as interesting as Cornflake Girl. If she has more (some of you already have good suggestions here), would anyone mind telling me?

Taxi Ride, Mr. Zebra, Cruel, Playboy Mommy, She's Your Cocaine, Pretty Good Year, Sleeps With Butterflies and A Sorta Fairytale are songs I think you'd like by her. Tell me what you think of them if you download any!

My favourites of the ones I recommended are Taxi Ride, Sleeps With Butterflies and She's Your Cocaine.
