    Default Snobs in Politics

We've all at some point had to suffer the ultra-conservative elitist drivel of some condescending, bureacratic snob...

President Jacques Chirac - French,an arrogant and pompous swine ( some would say the two are inseparable)who recently destroyed all notions of good international relations by criticizing British cooking as" worse than Norway's".Let's not forget this is the same man who forwarded the decision to crush the individuality of ethnic groups with a total disregard to religious background by banning the wearing of traditional headdress ... wanker.

Post your favourite political snobs and make for a beautiful rant against the establishment.

Any nation which takes excessive exception to something as simple as criticism of their cuisine (Frankly, Britain's contributions to the world of food are best described as 'abortions'.) is excessively arrogant and pompous.

And I hardly think Chirac's criticism of our food has destroyed Franco-Anglo relations. There's certainly no buildup of arms...

There are at least as many pompous liberals as there are pompous conservatives. C'mon.

I was being sarcastic about the whole food thing- if the British are offended by French criticisms of their food and respectively, well to each their own I say.

Well, I'm not sure I've grasped the point you are making then. That pompous politicians don't actually matter because everyone will ignore their pollitical faux pas?

What the hell is the plural of faux pas?!

    Like Chirac.

Also, British food is horrible. I'm with Chirac on that one, even if it isn't the most diplomatic thing to say. better than Vicente Fox who said Mexican immigrants to the US are willing to do jobs "even black people" won't do.

According to dictionary.com, faux pas is the plural of faux pas. So you got it right.

I say Shakespeare had the right idea with "kill all the lawyers" and probably should've extended it to politicians and god knows what else. But that's just because I can't be arsed to give a serious response at 11:39 PM

    Kill all lawyers and politicians?

"Simple logic is both our most trusted resource and divine enemy" - unknown author

I got that off a calendar once. A very good saying in my opinion. Logic does have its place, but not everything is so cookie cutter such as politics and court cases.

Not particularly. I love politics, but I'm only occasionally a snob.

We invented sandwichs, yorkshire puddings and the amazing fish and chips. We also have Guiness. What more do you want?
