not sure but i heard somewhere that ff6 in the us was just a re release of ff3 which was never released in the us, i have a feeling this is false, but anyone know for sure?

Well, Square decided to release Final Fantasy 6 as Final Fantasy 3 in the US, and the real FF3 hasn't been released here yet but it will be soon for the DS.
ok, so what ur sayin is, there Is an english ff3, but its the same as the jap ff6?
then whats the english ff6?

When FFVI was released in Japan, Square knew right away they wanted to release it in America. However, only two FF games had been released in America at this point (FFI and FFIV, which was released as FFII). Because of this, Square released FFVI in America as FFIII. When Square jumped ship to the Playstation, they started giving the games their proper title. When FFVI was re-released for PS1, it was numbered correctly. The actual FFIII has not yet been released in the US, but it is slated to be re-released on the Nintendo DS.
