I have just started playing the game ( I am at a new world with bums everywhere ) and I just thought I should mention the music in the game. I think its really good. The forest theme is my favourite by far........
Opinions ?

Yeah, Yasunori Mitsuda did a hell of a job on Chrono Trigger. It certainly had some of the best music ever composed for a video game in the 16-bit era, rivaling Uematsu's Final Fantasy VI soundtrack.
It is a pretty good SNES soundtrack, but I was more impressed with his later works.
of course the music is great, thats one thing u can always rely on with squaresoft
i liked:
frogs theme
chrono theme
gato theme
Chrono had a theme?
It's the one that playes during the introduction to the game (After the pendulum thing)
If you like the 600 AD theme, gibbi8, you should check out this remix: http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01040/

Yeah, but Mitsuda is listed first in the credits and also did the music for CC, so I get the sense that this is more his project than Uematsu's.
But yes, I would agree that the music is amazing. Battle with Magus, Frog's Theme, and *especially* Schala's Theme . . . the only thing disappointing about the score is that it was composed with SNES technology. Square needs to start putting these tracks in its live concerts, so we can get some high quality recordings.
I liked Chrono Cross's soundtrack. Most of the world themes in the different eras were great. Frog's theme, Magus' theme were both enjoyable tracks. Overall, good stuff.
Uematsu only composed eight songs and one jingle for the game, and Noriko Matsueda contributed one song. The vast bulk of the credit for CT's soundtrack belongs to Mitsuda.
And it is a wonderful soundtrack.
Do you know what songs he did by chance.Originally Posted by Kawaii Ryűkishi
