Default blair still not going to funerals

tony blair for the second this month is refusing to go to the funeral of a very popular politician from his own party.

a few weeks ago he stayed on holiday instead of robin cook's funeral and now with the death of mo mowlam he is still unwilling to return from his summer holiday.

should it not be a duty for him to go to these funerals?

Im starting to see a pattern here, Robin Cook, Mo, with any luck Blairs next, he should pay respect to her, because she was a large part of his party and did alot of good. Man I hate that guy, If the Queen did die I doubt she would want Blair there anyway, there not really good friends.

Yes, although unlike Blair, Cook and Mowlam were actually semi-decent. Well, for the Labour party, anyway...

He's staying on holiday as really wants a suntan because Allistair Campbell says it'll help boost his public image.

Could be worse; He could go to the funeral and spend 30 minutes reading out a four sentence eulogy…

she ironed out the agreement. negotiated with prisoners. she was the broker that made it possible. i don't think there was anyone else that could have negotiated that deal.

Its just a funeral .HE wasn't close to him thats all. I mean dang I can see if he missed his cousin's or aunt's or grandmothers or even mother and father's funeral. But some stranger in his political party that is famous?!?!?!?!? Why should you guys even care?

This doesn't even deserve a thread in eyes on the world. put this in general chat or something.

she ws his nothern ireland secretary. she was pretty damn important and they knew each other very well.

because tony blair this year has refused to go to cook's funeral, mowlam's funeral, the vj day stuff, and has not been around when his met commissioner is being ripped to shreds.

"HE wasn't close to him thats all" mo mowlam was woman.

    Who cares?

This isn't a political debate. This is just gossip.

    it's not really gossip.

it's a lack of duty to the man in charge of our country. he has snubbed two great politicians (both he never got on with in the end). in order to get a better tan. then snubbed ww2 veterans.
