ok ive been reading threw the forums and im wondering what the heck is upgrading wepons ive heard so much bout it on the forums but i havent had to do it in the game yet im at the part rite after u fight that other summoner u have to fight her with ifrit and that bird dude (i called him 50cent lmao) so i dont know its wierd hope u can help it be a big help

You can't modify weapons until later in the game.. When Rikku joins your party to be exact... What happens is you get weapons with empty slots on them and you use items to add abilities to make them better.. It's a good way to enhance your characters traits.....
