It doesnt suck, that's what makes it so good.
I've never gotten a bad file after... 3 or so years of using it, it doesnt lag in the least, and it's the absolute best for finding rare songs, especially of the Japanese variety.
The fact that it's better.
Most people on Soulseek share in entire albums for one, and the ones that don't usually get flamed. If you right click a song in Soulseek after a search you select 'Download Containing Folder'. Besides that it has all the same options as the others and I think a little bit more people.
So it's not buggy or nothing, low spyware, all that gak to boot?

Oh, and it also has not one bit of spyware.
Just make sure you get it from the official site (which I believe is slsknet.org) because there are a lot of rip off sites trying to make you pay for it.

spyware and adware. slows down the comp massively. is actually illegal. alot of people mistitle things, chance of infection, can cause firewall problems.
It's not illegal to share files with people. A lot of it may be unsigned artists. What if we own the albums?
Didn't we just get finished establishing that Soulseek was devoid of all those problems?
it is illegal to share copyrighted material.
i just don't trust them. pay the 50p for the song and be content.
