thats a good question though. Why arent you allowed to post in usernotes with these bans? I don't see the point, and I'm going out of this thread before random picture posts that are put towards me are posted.

Well if you think about it... you get banned for flaming someone in a zero tolerance area - you shouldn't have the right to send em usernotes flaming them even more as far as others can see. Bob's respons seems very logical.

I am sure the ban was for a reason; if not it wouldnt be there... less your a product of banfest Seriously for anyone who did not show respect, should not have respect. No idea what/if there are anyother EoEo-bannible actions besides flaming/spam; but the rule seems to be a good one that punishes, and prevents imidiate violations. It seems if they wanted to be extra cautious to avoid immidiate (caused by temper etc) repeats - they would ban PM's as well

It is used purely as a deterrent for breaking the rules. See BoB's post for more details.

There have been a lot more Eoeo bans because people seem to be forgetting the much sticter atmosphere that we would like to convey in those forums. It is not really that hard to not spam or insult people, is it?

You all seem to be forgetting that <i>zero tolerance</i> includes spam and jokes with regards to the thread, as well as flames, because they can be just as damaging at times. These are not tolerated in those forums and you will receive a ban for it.

I was banned for a single post that was barely even flaming, the person who banned me even agreed with what I'd said, but then it'd be double-standards if I hadn't been banned and the person I was rather fairly directing it had, so it's a worthy sacrifice.

Heck, I don't even look at or post in those forums most of the time anyway.
