To all owners of FFVII pc version having movie problems

    Hi everyone!

I started this topic to help other people who have problems with movie playback in FFVII for PC. TrueMotion codec included in FFVII installer is not the proper version to run all the game cutscenes, and that's why the game crashes then. Here's the link to proper version of codec: http://download.bonusweb.cz/602f1ee9...tion-codec.exe. Just download and install it. Wish it will help you all.

I actually have PS2, but although I know psx is worth buying even if ff7 is only game you're going to play on it, some people have other things to spend cash on, that's why i want to help.

Yea, the FMVs always caused problems on the PC version. I have both versions now so I don't play the PC version anymore. Actually, I don't play either, really.

I can play the FMV's on my PC version, but they are REALLY pixilated, as if they have been stretched to fit the screen. Does anyone know how to correct this?

The PC version's FMVs were terribly encoded anyway. Same with the audio, on top of it all the music being replaced with effing MIDIs. The only thing that's superior is the in game resolution (and a few translation corrections).

    My suggestion: get a PSX/PS2.
