Cloud, i still dont think you addressed my concerns about niger. I feel its a pretty good summary of why we don;t help niger. I completley aggree with skyblade on our ally situation.

Sure niger couldn't help us, but a lot of other countries still coulda helped. America is not invincible, and we all (americans) know this. Yet to demand money from us because we are the richest seems very humorous. You can't place the responsability of helping others on the biggest guy alone. The rest of the world is bigger than us, and often against us.

Katrina is more of a matter to us because it hit us. Lets say a murder killed a hundred people in england, then came over to your house and killed someone you care for. You would prolly throw a lot aside, as the matter becomes more personal. Same with Katrina. I know many people would love for us just to say "Forget about us, lets all become slaves and help the rest of the world out" - well, I really fail to see any logical path in that idea.
