Both are legitimate transliterations of the original name in Japanese, but I like the sound of Aeris better.

I like Aerith better. In fact, whenever I see "Aeris," I just think "Aerith" in my mind. It just fits.
I only use Aerith when I feel particularly "fanboy"
At all other times, I'm fine with Aeris. I swing both ways though *wink*

I pronounce Aeris distinctly different from Aerith when I say it out loud in English.
I knew her name should be Aerith long before I played the game.
I even changed her name to Aerith the first time I played.
I still can't think of her as anything but aeris xD
