Yay! History is great. I'm doing a History major as well. Why do you enjoy it? What's your favorite period in History? What can you do with a History degree besides teach (I'm trying to figure this one out, 'cause I don't want to teach high school, so that leaves me with teaching uni, but that requires a lot of time in school)? Do you see yourself as a good teacher?

I'm actually a European History major. I like WWII, mostly. But to be honest with you, History is such a broad and open subject, I feel like I'll never be an expert on anything, even something specific like WWII. I am already done with my History classes.... just Education classes left. I don't feel like I know enough at all. But maybe that has more to do with my expectations of myself. I really liked a Europe After 1945 class I had. I like Europe. I've never been there. I want to go. I like the idea of a place that has been "civilized" for so much longer than our place. We're just babies compared to Europe... and yet we're the superpower. I love history.

Yeah, the main thing is teaching. I want to teach at the university level too, but I feel too stupid to get my PhD. Too stupid or too unmotivated. If you get your Masters, you can teach at Community College level, but it can be difficult to get a full time job like that. After teaching at CC for 7 years, some Universities will take you.

Anyhow, you can be a lawyer too. History is a common major for lawyers. Also, you can get your masters in anything and move in a different direction.

Yeah, I hope I'll be a good teacher. I want to be laid back; I want the kids to want to have Mr. Robinson. But I might be too idealist... too likely to be crushed by the students. We'll see :)

Nope.

Do you like english football?

No, I pretty much dislike it. I like Baseball and Basketball. I don't understand how people could like a sport where most fans don't know all the rules or players, where they only play a 2 days of the week, and only for like 15 games or something. The only good aspect about football is that they generally play in any weather. That is cool.

I am now 22 years old.

You got your wife to play games O_O. Whats her favorite games?

Her favorite newer game is Windwaker. She also likes Mario Parties, Super Mario 3, Tetris, Grand Theft Autos. I try to get her to play FF7, but she didn't care for it. She got to gold saucer. I tried to get her to play Ocarina of Time, but she didn't like that either. She can't play an old game these days. Too used to current graphics.

Yeah, being married is nice. She is also 22 years old. Being married works well for me.

Yeah, but I don't read too much. I just finished Breakfast of Champions. My favorites are Catcher in the Rye and Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Vegemite (and Marmite) is a yeast-based spread, normally eaten on toast or bread. It's got an appearance similar to melted dark chocolate, but it's got a bitingly strong savoury taste and smell. Perhaps 'cause it's made using the yeast pulp scraped out of brewing vats after making beer.

If you ever find some - in a specialty food shop or something - buy a jar, then grab a big dessertspoonfull and down it in one go. Lovely stuff.

I would not say that we're great friends. They run things without me, pretty much, which is how I prefer it.

I've played all of them except XI. I have extensively played FF1, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9, FF10, FFT, FFX-2. FFT and FF1 are the best after VII. Probably a slight edge to FF1.
