Those are my three favorite books. You like any other Salinger or Vonnegut?

What, in your opinion, has been the most influential factor in EoFF's continuing success - the quality of the members, the large membership and busy boards, the rules and administration?
Hmm, tough. I'd say that the staff does a pretty good job of being fair and allowing some fun while not allowing the board to go to hell. I also think we have some originality that other boards may lack... from what I know, we had The Lounge and Eyes on Each Other before other boards created similar spin-offs. I think we also have some great members too. In the end, I think it is the atmosphere here - the originality, the mostly-relaxed staff, and the good people. Ack, that wasn't a really fair answer, was it?

Wow! I'm borrowing somemore Vonnegut from a friend as soon as I give Breakfast back. Salinger... I read a bit of Frannie and Zooey (sp?), but I got pretty bored with it. I also have Nine Stories, but I never started. I heard it features Holden Caufield though. Are either of those Saliger's worth reading? What is your favorite Vonnegut? My friend has like 10 of his books.

I haven't read Frankie and Zooey, but I liked Nine Stories all right. For Vonnegut, Timequake is really good; some people like to think of it as Breakfast of Champions 2. Also, Bagombo Snuff Box, which is a collection of his really old short stories. For being such a huge fan of Vonnegut, though, I really haven't read enough of his stuff.

Hmm. Cid, eh? I have no idea who you are.

When I used to read posts about Cid creating EoFF and hailing you as a god, I thought you a figment of their psychotic imaginations.

I don't think there's anything I want to know about you. Would you like to know about me instead?
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

That was Vita Meata Vegamin. Vegemite is some paste they try to feed you in Australia. I tried it once and wanted to lick an unflushed toilet bowl to get the taste out of my mouth.
