what country has the best national anthem?
what country has the best national anthem?
The United Kingdom has. Although I have always been a fan of the Chilean national anthem after seeing their players patriotically singing it extremely loudly at the 1998 World Cup.
god save the queen is a horrible national anthem. it really is. i liked the soviet one. the internationale. i always find the fact that germany still uses it's national anthem funny as it's conotations. scotlands national anthem i have to say is an absolute dirge and i hate it.
The Star-Spangled Banner > all
Australia (Waltz Matilda or something? Yeah - that rules big time) or the Soldier's Song from the Rep. of Ireland.

Having only heard Canada and the U.S.' anthems, Canadas is clearly the greatest of the two.
Radiohead's

Antarctica.....(and yes i do realize its a continent and not a country, but hey....its still got the best anthem)
Not a good national anthem? Not a good national anthem! Blimey, don't you realise what it is? It's a song that basically commands God (he works for us) to make sure our sovereign is safe, thusly allowing her to live well beyond normal life expectancy. So for example if the Royal Yacht is caught in the middle of a storm, then some patriotic soul can sing the national anthem and save her. It's utter genius!Originally Posted by Cloud No.9

I have to say Australia - because thats the only one I ever bothered to listen to.
All national anthems suck. Theyre all terriblE.
I really dunno, I haven't heard many. I don't think one is better than the other.
Big Sugar's version of Oh Canada. The way the anthem should be played. Similar to Jimi Hendrix's version of the US Anthem.
WICKED-AWESOME SIG.
