Help with music stepping stones

Ok i'm in chapter 5 and I need to get past the place where you need to step on the right stones. Right before vegnugun. Oh and also i want to now if I'm well prepared. Heres my levels Yuna level 58 a berserker almost mastered Rikku level 56 an alchemist/ white mage and Paine level 57 a dark knight almost mastered.Please Help

Lv 56-58 is more than enough. Lv 40 is adequate for Vegnagun. Your choice of DS is very good also. I don't know the sequence to jump on the pillars, I tend to jump all over the place and eventually I end up where I want to be.

If you're ready to take on one of the harder bosses in the game, I would suggest you ignore the pianos and just force your way through. It makes it easier to get a dressphere that you woudln't be able to otherwise.

i can never be bothered with this so i always go to level 40 of the via infinito then get catnip and use the gunner-catnip trick.

But people are always talking about how hard it is to beat the dark element. Is that who you have to fight?

Yes, it is. I didn't find it particulary hard, especially if you have a Dark Knight with 5,000+ HP and you use Charon. Dark Element only has 9,999 HP, so one Charon will kill it. If Oversouled it will have a little more HP, so have a Songstress dance the Magical Masque (or whichever one it is that negates the use of magic).

ok I got to this floor with this really hard fiend. It's like dragon and it whiped but all over mes

Sounds like an Elder Drake. Avoid them if possible. If the Elder Drake is jumping back and forth, time your run so you get past it. If the Elder Drake is sitting behind a wall there should be a passage to the left with a glyph stone. Stand on this glyph stone to create a block bridge over the Elder Drake which enables you to jump over him and avoid a battle.

If, however, you cannot avoid a battle, use the Catnip you've just got with a Gunner and make sure she's got critical (yellow) HP. Each shot of Trigger Happy will now deal 9,999 damage, making Elder Drakes very easy to kill. Whatever you do don't use magic against them as they will counter and most likely wipe out all three characters. I like using Berserker x3 with Evade and Counter.

vs dark element, just cast reflect and black magic on yourself =P. He will cast spells on you too so they reflect back to him. This way everyone will get exp. Charon sux.

I only had problems with Dark Element if he cast Ultima on me as his first move. If he didnt' I was cool.

The Dark Element never attacked me, i just got along with hitting 500 each turn

ok I can't get past another Elder drake that you can't avoid. and I'm still to weak to beat it help agian sorry I keep asking for help but I'm only 11
