You can only change your name by actually changing it permanently, the thing next you your name is an avatar, go into your User CP thing and work from there...

Well, the avatar was covered, but to change your name you PM a CK or Admin and ask them to change your name.

I still don't get it
Go to "User CP" in the upper left hand corner of your screen. Then select "edit avatar", and then pick one! That's for the picture below your name. To change your name, click on someone like a Cid's Knight, or site staff, and send them a private message requesting a name change.

you have to get a member of the forum staff to change it
just find someone with the words cid knight in blue under their name and pm them

Yes, you go to User CP at the top left of the screen to <i>Edit Avatar</i> to add an avatar under your name.
You are basicaly stuck with your name for six months, at which time you may PM an <a href="http://forums.eyesonff.com/showgroups.php?">Admin</a> and ask them to change it for you.
