After jotting down a fair bit of information from the game, yesterday I found something rather confusing.
At the start of the game, when Zorn and Thorn are looking for the Queen to tell her that Garnet is missing, they are confronted by Beatrix and ask her to pass on the message that "Garnet is in danger"
This is the exact script from this place.
Beatrix: ‘Is it an emergency?’
Thorn: ‘An emergency, it is!’
Zorn: ‘A veritable emergency of terrible urgency!’
Beatrix: ‘Very well. I’ll see what I can do.’
Zorn: ‘We’ll be very grateful!’
Thorn: ‘Very grateful, we’ll be!’
Steiner: ‘Grrr! Curse that Beatrix! Always trying to one-up me!’
Beatrix: ‘So, what exactly is the problem?’
Zorn: ‘Her Royal Highness...’
Thorn: ‘Princess Garnet...’
Zorn & Thorn: ‘...is in danger!’
Beatrix: ‘I see. Wait right there.’
But as you can see, when Beatrix confronts the queen about the current situation, she doesn't tell her that her daughter is in danger. Instead she tells her that she has "run off". What confused me is, where does Zorn and Thorn say that? :S. They dont!
Queen Brahne: ‘No interruptions! Can’t you see I’m watching the show!?’
Beatrix: ‘Your Majesty, I’m afraid Princess Garnet has---‘
Queen Brahne: ‘Ah, yes... She did leave her seat a while ago.’
Beatrix: ‘Your Majesty, it seems that Princess Garnet has run off with the Royal Pendant.’
Queen Brahne: ‘Well, of all the... What could she be thinking!?’
It's confusing as when progressing through the game, you can see that Beatrix is against the rest of the party, but when she finds out that Garnet is in danger from the queen, she does protect her and changes her motives.
Why, when first told that Garnet is in danger, she doesn't really care about Garnet, but purely for the fact she has "gone missing". But automatically assuming that Garnet has "run off".
Why do you think Beatrix is like this?
