You can avoid every single elder drake. However, I do not remember how exactly to avoid the ones in the little holes. I think there may be little stepping stones immediately inside that you can't see.

Try Dark Knight x2 and Alchemist x1. Equip all three with a Speed Bracer for Auto-Haste, then use Black Sky repeatedly with the Alchemist recovering HP/MP when needed
OR
Berserker x3 with Evade&Counter
OR
Gunner x1 with Catnip and Alchemist x1 for reviving. Dark Knight x1 can help out with Black Sky.
I tossed a bunch of gil at the Dark Element, and killed him in 1 go.

For some reason, I am thinking about 32k. They don't have an incrediable amount, but with really high speed and high vitality, it's hard to hit them.
They've got 38,500 HP.
I think I'll just forget about catnip and go on to verse vegnugun and the secret boss no ones telling me about.
ok, i am at the stepping stones before vegnagun too, and i just wanna get past that part without doing all this other stuff. can some one tell me how to get past this part?
