The newsletter plans to have an "advice" column where people write in questions and they are answered in the letter. It will be similar to what 8-bit theater used to do.
For those of you who are familiar with 8-Bit theater you already know about the "Twinking out with red mage/Ask evil princess Sara" sections they did. Those who don't know about them can click the link in my signature if your interested.
If you have questions you want "answers" to send them to me in PMs and I'll pick the best to print in the newsletter with answers.

It'd be cool if we had a small section towards the end of the paper where we let the people who read the paper make small comments and whatever, like they have in school papers sometimes and magazines.
Don't worry yet, we'll let everyone know when this gets started. It'll be a little bit before the first issue is released. So all of you wanting to help, we will let you know. But don't be looking now, as I said, we'll probably downsize the immediate staff at the beginning simply because not everyone will be needed. Not that you won't have anything to do with the paper, you can still vote on the name, however, we're not going to need you for any writing of stories and what-not. However, as this project goes along and grows and (hopefully) is popular, then we'll definitely add on as needed.So what's actually going to happen with the first issue? Let's also note that sometimes, the news has dry-spells. There may be times where the forum isn't the most busy, and then our paper is going to be smaller and that some stories simply won't be printed.
Also, one more thing. We're planning on setting up a forum for the newspaper staff. With this, hopefully we can avoid confusion when this thing starts. Many times, reporters won't communicate with eachother, will write stories over the same events, and then only one is published. In our case, that forum will be where the reporters request events to report on. Basically, first come first serve unless we, the editors feel otherwise.
I may seem like I'm being Nazi about this project, thanks to Manus... but I just know how these things get. I was on Highschool Newspaper class; I know how journalism in the very basic ways, and I want this to be a success.

Can I just say Marick, I already mentioned to UDH that I will be strict on deadlines. There is no way I'm going to let people let the rest of us down. I will ask for deadlines to be taken seriously and if anyone doesn't have a really good excuse to miss a deadline then it'll be a warning. If it remains continuous, then you can guarantee you'd be removed from the staff, letting anyone else who has the devotion to do this.
I'd also like to say that do not get any idea's yet please, do not start writing any information yet. We do not know when this will start. Although we want it to start soon, gathering information now etc will be pointless as it may turn out to be "old news".
As BoB has kindly said we can use our own board on Aiyon, we shall do that, but I'm afraid that for a short while, we will need to use a temp board as Aiyon is currently inactive/down. This would just be a small invision board or something. Just to get us started.
I would like each reporter/writer to post their idea's for a story up on this board, and also then give a draft of what they will put during the end of the first week. This way we can proof read etc and see whats wrong before the deadline of the paper itself.
So just wait for our go ahead before you start anything please.
