have you beaten ozma?

I have beaten him twice, working on the third with a party of Zidane, Vivi, Freya, and Amarant. I am gonna use Amarant as a white mage.

I only beat him once (second time, first playthrough). Frog Drop and Reflect and Regen were very helpful.

Steiner casts shock every turn
Dagger or eiko heal
zidzane attacks taking 6000-7000 per turn
vivi casts flare (if he has doomsday that would be great)
2 characters are equiped with Pumices peices and the other 2 are equiped with Eigoists Armlet to not receive any damage from shadow damage
u should win if it doesnt cast meteor
the whole battle is basically about luck

Yes, he does. Thanks to the Meteor + Curse combo, he stands a chanse against ANY party.

Yea, meteor sucks. I think that's the only reason why I won, was because meteor didn't do nearly as much damage as it can.

None of his attacks are worth mentioning except Curse.

my first time through the game I was able to beat Ozma with some effort. The second timd I never could beat him, I think because I used other characters. The first time I beat him using Magic Hammer constantly while just surviving his attacks and healing.

Actually, the first time through I finished the friendly monsters quest. My second time through I screwed it up somehow, so that's probably why I can't beat him.

I do not mind people quoting my FAQ and posting them on whatever meassage boards. I have seen it on plenty of FF boards but at least you need to give me and TheOden some credits. Like adding "quoted from Level 1 Ozma challenge FAQ by Hypro" at the end of the post.

Anyway to beat Ozma is mostly about luck. There is not much you can do against Meteor+ Curse, no matter you are level one or level 99.

btw, that info on Ozma came from Hyprophant's Lv.1 Ozma Challenge guide. Its an awesome guide, Hypro is a bit nuts but she's also a genius.
