That makes it more clear but I still dont get it. I've heard a thanatos is a personification of death. Death with human qualities? What?
Well yeah, you are giving it human from so it can be classed as personification but is more anthropomorphism I think.
Personification is often used to write descriptively, for example:
"The wind whispered through the trees."
Wind does not whisper, it is a human quality and therefore you are personifying wind.
