the first one i played was like either RE3: Nemesis or RE: Survivor. i beat Nemesis a few years ago. i played Outbreak, and put down the controller really fast. as far as CVX goes, i'm stuck.

Two, although silent hill are my favorite above resident evil.
totally agree. of course, i know someone may soon start backing up RE, but Silent Hill is gorrific! there's so many nasty-looking monsters which the RE characters will be afraid to come across.Originally Posted by cookieface

I'd say it's just plain horrific. And not in a fear of death kind of way, like with the monsters in RE. I can't even describe the first time I played SH when I got to the school. It was a crazy game. The sequels were not the same either. They were good, but not the same.
Silent Hill is more of a psychological horror game. The only reason I think RE is better than SH is because of Code Veronica and 4. RE4 is the most fun game I've played in... Well probably ever. RE provides you with on-the-spot chills. The thought of constantly being followed and watched is something that scared me during the game, especially in the maze level with the wolves. SH is a game that'll glue its horrific images into your mind and'll make you scared to go to everyday places.

Resident evil 4 added a much needed boost to a just fading series....and they really pulled it off it was a great game

Resident Evil 2(The scum of the series)
I have yet to play 4. Zero had a really good gameplay concept and they executed it really well which is why I rank it so high. There are some very low points in the game though(monkey zombies anyone?)
You had RE4 in your signature for like a year but still haven't played it?
Shut up man!That was when the game was going to be more like the other ones. I am sure it is fun but the setting and use of colors really turns me off quite a bit. That and for like the past 6 of the last 9 months I was away on buisness during the week every week and didn't have time to play a lot of new stuff. I am still catching up
My favorite would probably be code veronica, but I also liked RE2.
Code Veronica for me. As for RE4, it was fun for a few hours. I got a little over half way through, stopped playing and haven't gone back. The constant action just became really boring and repetitive after awhile. The I also found the story wasn't all the interesting and did a poor job making me want to keep playing. I also hated that laser sight. I love the concept, but the thing only showed up on things you could shoot. Not a problem with a half dozen guys five feet in front of you, but when trying to pick some guys off at longer range, you often had little to no idea where you were aiming and were forced to wave the camera around wildly until the laser showed up on someone. That wore thin pretty fast considering how fast paced some of the action is.
