    He's pretty famous where I live. Obviously, heh. I'm not that into his songs, but I would have to say he's probably the best 'rapper' to come from NZ.

    Scribes ok but i dont get into rap. Hes better than any other rapper from NZ. The best songs he brought out were Not Many if Any and that one he did with P Money. Anyway, I prefer listening to rock bands like The Feelers, Shihad and Blindspot

    I like how Scribe (he's a guy, not a group) has plenty of songs that break the mould. With most widely-popular hip-hop, the songs are about the joys of brothel-keeping or some such anti-socialness. Usually, you've got to look for underground, under-appreciated artists to get some kind of meaningful message - but not so with NZ material. Scribe, Che Fu and King Kapisi can all be upbeat and impressively positive.
