Okey i need a book. I have to read 1800 pages for my accel english class this semester and i need a book. I can't read somehting i've already read, can''t be harry potter, and it can't have a movie made after it. I like fantasy books yet dont suggest any dragonlance cause i've read those and not Obsidian chronicals (not that you poeple have read that) and yeah any suggestions?

Here is a good sci-fi/fantasy. Otherland by Tad Williams, it is a four book series, that will easily surpass 1800 if I remember correctly. I think the final instalment alone is about 1000 pages.

Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind is a good place to start. It's like a grown up persons fantasy book.

I read the Handmaids Tale for English Lit, it's a good book. And if you have to write about it (which I'm guessing you will) there is loads to comment on.

If you liked DragonLance, you should read <i>Death Gate Cycle</i>, also by Weis/Hickman.

I also concur with whoever suggested <i>Sword of Truth</i> series by Terry Goodkind.
