I will forever choose FF 1-6. They have better storylines and cool characters.
Early FF Series NES/SNES era(FF I, II, III, IV, V, VI)
Late FF Series Playstation/Playstation 2 era(FF VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XI)
Spinoffs (Chocobo's Dungeon 2, FF Tactics, Tactics Advance, Crystal Chronicles, Mystic Quest
I will forever choose FF 1-6. They have better storylines and cool characters.
Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

I'd say the late FF series plus FFVI as I've yet to get my hands on any of the earlier games.
my fav FF is FFVII, but all my others are in the early FF series.
eugh......
Primordial, as in NES era, I can't stand. None of those games impress me at all. FF1 and FF3 I can't stomach, and FF2 is tolerable when played on Dawn of Souls. I'll take Dragon Warrior 1-4 over FF 1-3 anyday.
Early, from 4-6, were pretty good. FF4 and FF5 are pretty much neck and neck as far as I'm concerned as the greats from this generation.
Mid to modern, 7-9 are a bit of a grab bag. FF7 is my favorite of all, and 8 and 9 are alright, even if the ATB is stale by that point.
Modern, 10-11 are mixed as well. I liked 10, hated 10-2, and liked 11.
Spin-offs, I like Mystic Quest and Tactics, but have no desire to finish Tactics Advance or Crystal Chronicles.
To hell with Battletoads and Double Dragon.
THIS is the ultimate team.
The later ones plus FFV. Theres something entrancing about them. (especially VIII, IX and X (and V!))![]()
Well... it has to be the later PS1-2 versions, they included the best game (IX) and several other quality games, had it not been for FFIX it would be the earlier ones...
:joey:
i picked up on Final Fantasy since FFVII, so i'm for the Late series. i have played some old Final Fantasy games, but way too less experience to judge it. spin-offs are nice too, but i've only been really serious of one in particular.
the problem with this poll, is unless you played the earlier ones first, which most people did not, then most likely they won't appreciate the finer things of the earlier games in the series because of how expansive the later games were. I mean, I personall love FFIII because of all the different things it introduced which are significant in every game after that so... And FFVI is my favorite of all, then FFVII then FFIII, and from there.... I go with the earlier series because they are truly amazing games, people need to appreciate them more
THE JACKEL
I really enjoy FFX-2 & Wish to play International+ Last Mission
^.^
Late FF games.
My top four (The four games that I constantly argue with myself on what order they should be in) are spread across all three of the options. You have VI with the early FFs, VII and IX with the late FFs, and Tactics with the Spinoffs. Guess I'll go with late.
I like FFVII, FFX-2 and FFV in that order.
I did also enjoy Mystic Quest as well.
My Cure spell brings all the boys to the yard,
And they're like: "It's better than yours."
Damn right, it's better than yours!
I could Heal you, but I have to charge.
Spin offs Sucked
early were decent
late are entrancing and unplayed
"Swordchucks Yo." - Fighter
"Every time I cast Hadoken it siphons a little bit of love out of the world to create a massive destructive explosions. They say the divorce rate goes up with each cast." - BM
How many swords could sword chucks chuck if sword chucks could chuck swords? Same goes with Nuns! :rolleyes2
"I cast Ice-9!" -RM
"I can steal stuff that isn't even there" -Thief (Yet he can't steal in the game)
