Bugenhagen isn't Red's real grandfather, and Red isn't a lion.

Immore inclined to agree with the speacial materia theory. Whos to say that in his life time he didnt come across a speacial and unique materia. (you come across atleast four in yours). He is human, more than likely hes partially senile, or usues that to mask his true personallity

It's a videogame with a large talking feline in it and we wonder why an old man can float? We're all being very silly, not that I mind being silly at all...

The fact that he's whatever you see him to be should tell you that he isn't a normal animal.

I still say he's a Swami. Swami's levitate with their legs crossed and since the feild scene graphics in VII were blocky, it looks like some sort of wobble toy you get when your a baby, when in fact its actually his legs crossed.

Red XIII's species evolved in a area with high mako output (like the caves in Nibel) constant exposure to the Mako energy have given Red's people super abilities and intelligence, etc.

They have naturally what Mojo Hojo was trying to do artificially to SOLDIER people in Nibel.

I don't recall high Mako-leakage in the Cosmo area. Not even in the caves that Bugenhagen had sealed off.

Um, uh... maybe they weren't native to the Cosmo region to begin with? Or, or... maybe no-one said anything about it being a Mako rich area, cos that would be stating the obvious? "The sea is where there's a lot of water, you know."

Why else would the Study of Planet life be held there if there wasn't a reason for it?

Who says they weren't native to the Cosmo region? I think you're just speculating without any real proof.

the study of the planet is held there because bugenhagen decided for it to be there. and he's super smart. also, maybe the stars are easier to see around there, and he could create an observatory on top of a canyon.

and how would saying that cosmo canyon is mako-rich area be stating the obvious?

    Thank you Hysterian!
