The best thing to do would be to ban hurricanes or nullify thier effect, thus build up the levees. its simple really They have been working to 'ban' earthquakes in San Fran and in the rest of Califonia, by updating buildints and making smart decisions. Why should any other antrual disaster not be planned for?

okay you have a point there, but if i choose to argue this will blow out full scale about religion, i can sense it ^^

That is why I made my case breif. Please, keep this to the subject, I would welcome a religouse battle anywhere, but in an uninviting thread. I mearley had to say somthing because it is disrespectful to me to see my GOD get flamed here.

I don't know what the official forum rules are, but lets please keep others in mind eh?

I wish we would get out of the rest of the world for the most part. At least then we will not have to spend as much on foriegn aid or defense and when people bitch it will actually be the truth that we don't help out enough.

    Agreed.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

I wasn't saying God without a doubt doesn't exsist: I was merely trying to point out that alot of people don't believe he does and thus can't blame him. I don't know or care either way myself, because if the Bible is true he'll throw me and everyone else in Hell reguardless.

but it is not just his fault. it is the federal government too.

the city is okay in theory. holland does fine. but holland isn't in the firing line of hurricanes. lack of funding comes down to it. and that is to to with the president.
Thats so [not at all intelligent]. A hurricane hitting a city in a bowel is in no way his fault. At all.

    LOL mirel.

There ya go DMKA good point indeed. I love it when athiests blame GOD for things, or use the fact that people die for a fact that GOD does not exist. On the same tolken I was asked if I think the levee was GOD's wrath on the pestalance of Marti Gras. I was not 100% sure how to answer. I don't know if I see smiting as much of an activity since after the new covenant of Jesus's Blood.

People seem to want to blame GOD for a lot of things, belivers or not. I happen to belive that we live in a very natural place and things will happen. We all must claim responsability for our own actions.

I agree the blame is passed to him, and as president he is responsible being the commander in chief. So to an extent he is responsible for problems surrounding the evacuation effort in Louisiana. On the other side the government carried before he took office obviously did an extremely poor job of making sure bay states are protected.

actually it is. you build a city. below sea level. in an area which has hurricanes and sea surges. you the don't maintain or upgrade the system to protect the people. you then don't help them escape when you realise what a big mistake this has all been.

lesson one: don't make a city below sea level.
lesson two: if you really need to don't do it in an area liable for storms, sea surges and flooding.
lesson three: if you do make it safe.
lesson four: if all else fails be prepared to ship everyone the hell of out of there when the time comes.

Lesson five: When the city begins to sink, move somewhere else.

You had tons of valid points there, Cloud No.9 (I think this is the first time I agree with you), but I thought I should point this out. Not only was New Orleans built in a shallow basin in the middle of a hurricaine prone area, but it was built on soft river delta soil. While it's great for crops, it's lousy as a substitute for bedrock. No solid foundation means that the city's ground level has been slowly sinking. It was lower when the hurricaine hit than it had been when the city was built.

I agree with Reles that people need to do action. Can't go directly and help? Volunteer at your local Red Cross/Salvation Army. Can't volunteer? Give blood. Can't give blood? Give cash. Can't do any of that? Shut your pie hole.
    Amen to that.
How on earth can it be George Bush's fault for a hurricane?
    *cough*global warming*cough*
Although assigning blame is pretty useless, we DO need to determine what went wrong (with aid, evacuations, ect...) so we can try to avoid a repeat.
