Look at what cloud 9, and Skyblade said (I very much agree with this). George Bush v1.0's lackies pointed out the fact that the levees had become unstable and put it on the priority list right before clinton took office. Clinton knew of this too; 8 years and nothing done. Bush almost go away with 8 more years too. It's the old Governments saying, ignore a priblem - it will go away. Well, either way Bush has got to be happy now; he gets to spend more of our money. It woulda been cheeper to fix the levies...

On top of all the stupidity, I guess a lot of the "beach front" is going to be commercially developed. Since that makes so much damn sence. Like skyblade said, this is a DELTA. Meaning its only solid ground is the crap spewing out of the mississippi river! Of course the city would want more comercial space, as that gets them more money and such. Why would they put it on the beach on a delta. When you think of the buildings and structures that will go there - I don't think I have to draw an elaberate picture here.
