I don't for semi special. I got all of them.. even Quin YAYYYYYY!
And I haven't finished the game yet... (trust me, I could beat up Remedi if I like but I like to take my time!) so I don't have many specials apart from Ezel...

Here's how to get all of them, if anyone's wondering...
Secret Characters
(You must beat the final battle in Ambervale to get all of the secret characters with the exception of Ezel.)
Babus - Clear the Left Behind mission, then enter a town and clear the With Babus mission.
Cid - Clear all 300 numbered missions.
Ezel - Choose Gossip in the Card Shop, then clear the Reconciliation mission. (After getting Siena Gorge, choose Gossip and he will give you the "New Antilaw" mission. Complete this, and gossip again to get Reconciliation.)
Ritz - Clear the Mortal Snow mission.
Shara - Clear the A Maiden's Cry mission, then enter a town.
Semi-Secret Characters
(You just have to use the mission item. It doesn't need to be required for the mission.)
Cheney - Complete a mission with Snake Shield as a mission item
Eldena - Complete a mission with Elda's Cup as a mission item (You eventually lose this item)
Lini - Complete a mission with The Hero Gaol as a mission items
Littlevili - Complete the "Clan League" mission
Pallanza - Complete a mission with Wyrmstone as a mission item
Quin - Complete the "Missing Professor" mission (ONE CHANCE!!!!)
Also, I have all of them. (My clan is lvl 48-50)
