I have many nightmare/dreams about vampires. Many dream dictionaries say it represents repressed love or sexual desires. I stop having those dreams now, but I think that interpertation is right. Vampires are a nocturnal creature, so they can easily be associated with "darker" or more oppressed sides of ourselves. Not that long ago in history sex was a forbidden topic, so we easily could associate vampires--wild, dark creatures, with one of the most "dark" aspects of human nature: lust.
So true!!

My friends and I discussed the mechanics of a reverse vampire today.
Jimmy: "Hey everyone at the Blood Drive, it's me, Jimmy the Reverse Vampire! *spews blood*"
Blood drive staff: "Thanks, Jimmy! We'll sop up all of this blood from the floor, walls, curtains, patients, workers, etc. and get it to people in need of blood right away!"
Jimmy: "No problem...it's what I dooooooo! *flies off*"
We're stupid. Really, really stupid.
I've always been interested in vampires. I hate the old cheesy movies though, Blade is much more my scene.![]()
I actually wrote a paper on the myths and theories on vampires my sophomore year.
I won't put the whole thing in here, but the most interesting part I wrote about since it was about 9 pages long. :S If you want to read the whole thing just ask me and I'll send it to you, but yeah.
Yet theories have risen along the tide of believing and the most rational one I have found is within the sickness of Diabetes. Hautman has claimed that the legend all began back in medieval times when there wasn’t any real information about Diabetes. The Diabetic is only a victim of a slow death that goes through changes, which is ideally and unusually similar to vampirism. The first symptom is being overly hungry and thirsty because of too much glucose in the blood. The subject seems possessed since she wants to consume everything in sight and she is given food. She appears to have larger canines because of too much glucose in her blood, her gum line recedes, yet making her the village “vampire.” She is rejected because of the expensive food so she goes to hunt on her own, which leads her to murdering livestock and eating them in the flesh. She will do anything to satisfy her need for food, even as to becoming a human bloodsucker (Hautman 32).
Hautman, Pete. “The Sad Truth About Bloodsucking Demons.” Sweetblood. Simon and Schusters, 2003. New York: 27-32.
I have heard there are other sicknesses besides Diabetes that seem like this, anyway...I hope I've given you -some- insight, but you may already know all of this, I just have always found it interesting.
Vampires are teh sex.
Lestat is love.
Although that doesn't really address the question.
I think they're real. Mainly because I want to.
Tôi đói.
I uh, liked the TV shows Buffy and Angel.
A girl in cyberhigh clamed to be a vamp...[and took a much too frendly likeing to me ]
i didn't like them much at first, but i did enjoy the movie "Lost Boys", plus i liked what i read about a tyrant called Vlad Tepes [or Vlad the Impaler], said to be the true vampire/dracula, as well as some other people thought to be vampires. very, very interesting.
what's better tho...
ninja+vampire. imagine what it's like to get stealth killed and have ur blood drained at the same time! or just a simple bloodsucking stealth kill...
