How do I control enemies? I want to learn some blue magic, but when my trainer captures them, it doesn't allow me to choose what i want the monster to do. Do I have to learn additional abilities to control and/or manipulate enemies?

there a job class called trainer that lets you capture and i think control enimies.

nik, if you have !Catch, you should already have learned !Cntrl (or Control) to your Trainer. This works the same as Control/Manipulate in other games. It's a totally different ability.
I thought !cntrl was after !catch ?
I don't have !Catch. It comes equiped on a trainer by default.
I was assuming you had learned up to Catch, which is the final Trainer ability. Sorry about that. In your case, it takes 10 ABP to get to !Tame, and an additional 50 ABP to get to !Cntrl. Some random fighting should net you the ability.

psh, if you want to control enemies, stick around in the old non-val castle in world 2. sklldrgsn for the win!
I never tried out the trainer class, but I still got many friendly Blue Mage abilities (White Wind . . . yay) by casting Charm on the monster with my White Mage. With two methods, I suppose you'll learn the skills even faster.
