Build-Up worthless?
As far as I know, Build-Up let's you do twice the damage in the next round, but what's so great with that?
I mean, Build-Up/Fight might result in "Fight x 2 Strength" but isn't that just the same as two normal attacks?
What's so good with that, anyway?
Possibly when fighting a monster that counters everytime you attack. Unless my mind's turned to goo, I believe Behemoth's counter each time you attack them.

Yep, buildup is generally worthless, particularly in this incarnation. Why on earth did they think it was neccesary for Buildup to drop your defense to zero? Bleh.
Although, Buildup is a good contingency plan when you're fighting against those "split-in-two-whenever-they're-hit" monsters.

Heh, I forgot about FFIV.
FFIV's is infinitely better, because it does not drop your defense to zero.
EDIT: I misread "refer" as "prefer". Gah. I'm 0 for 2 in this topic. :yuck:

Build-Up in general.
Perhaps it functions differently in different games; if it does, then I guess I'm talking about the one in FF3.
It's just fun to watch Yang meditate, that's all. You should calm down. Like Yang does while doing buildup.
