Hi.. I'm trying to defeat the giant. I've gotten past the "friends". But I'm having a bit of a problem with The CPU.
How in the hell do you beat it when it puts up a wall every time?
Please let me know..![]()
Thanks: Amanda

Make sure you get rid of the Defender first, otherwise, it'll keep healing the CPU. However, DO NOT kill the Defender and Attacker while the CPU is still alive. The would be very bad. The best way to go is just have everyone hit the CPU. If Rydia has Sylph, make sure you have her constantly cast it on the CPU. It'll heal the party and do more damage on the CPU then she could do on her own. Eventually it'll go down and then just finish off the Attacker. Hope that helps.![]()

Kill the Defender first, then have Cecil and Edge attack the CPU while Rosa and FuSoYa heal. Don't kill the Attacker, and don't have Rydia use spells against the CPU or summons that hit all enemies (since that might kill the Attacker). Eventually, the CPU will go down. After that, just destroy the Attacker (or use Meteo to overkill it).

i used Meteo first turn killed Attacker + Defender,
i lasted 30 more seconds.
Thank you for your help..
But is there anyway to take the wall down off the CPU??? I'm not sure when to hit him after he's put up his wall. I keep killing myself.. lol.. I'm starting to get annoyed... lol.. :mog:
Thanks: Amanda
dont use magic it'll wear off, or use Wall on yurself and bounce spells back, but that might hit Attacker so dont try it
KILLED IT!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!
Thanks for your help.. I'd have gone all day casting spells and killing myself... THANK YOU
you're welcome, now just send $1'000'000 to "123, fake street, australia" and the mafia will leave you alone,
(i think you know im not serious but i'll say it anyway)
i wasn't being serious
Good job destroying the CPU. You asked about the Wall status earlier. Just keep attacking the CPU with physical attacks, Wall only reflects magical attacks. That's why I don't think you should bother casting offensive spells during that battle.

The first time I faced the CPU I defeated the attacker then I went all out on the CPU.![]()
That also works, and it's actually a safer strategy than the one I used. I preferred to get rid of the healer and just have my characters use Cura and Curaga when the Attacker uses its beam attacks on me, but destroying the attacker and then going all-out against the CPU works just as well, provided you can do more damage than the Defender heals. Just don't destroy them both or the CPU will use its special move to kill your characters one by one (I tried that on the GBA version, bad mistake).

im pretty sure you should destroy the deffender orb thing not the attacker orb thing
