It's nice to see some interesting discussions around here, rather than just "OMG I saw it, awesome"

The first time I saw it, well ... I was kinda disappointed.
First because it ended so abruplty, just like SapphireStar said.
Also because of some of the changes they made, like (SPOILER)the way things occured at the end of the Cloud/Sephiroth confrontation.
But thinking back, I think I'm starting to understand the actual reasons behind these choices. Remember guys : Nomura worked on this one too, and he wrote FFVII's scenario at the first place (along with Sakaguchi, ok, but still). I can't help but thinking he somehow took the chances to fix eventual errors he might have done at the time.
I mean, maybe Sephiroth did want to end up down there : Afterall, he was severly wounded, and surely didn't want to end up in Hojo's hands. Maybe it was part of his plan all along. Think about it

As for Tifa ... I didn't consider the fact her dialogue with Cloud being longer as an inaccuracy. Is the dialogue actually longer anyway ?
The only difference is that Cloud actually answers, right ? Saying sorry for being so late or something like that. Tifa just says the same thing she did in the game.
I liked reading some of the theories about her forgetting the events or not. I'd personally go for no, she didn't forget. Just how could you forget something like that at the first place.
I think she remembered everything perfectly, but just couldn't bring herself to tell Cloud about it, because she was afraid of the consequences. Somehow she knew Cloud wasn't lying at Kalm, but she also knew what he was saying wasn't the truth ... she must have been clueless of what was going on, and afraid too.
Remember the encounter with Sephiroth at the Northern Cave ? While he's slowly making Cloud understand what really happened, he also frightens Tifa of revealing what she's hiding, which disturbs her.

Getting back on Last Order, I think it was pretty nice. Fulfilled its role perfectly, by both linking Before Crisis to FFVII storyline and introducing Crisis Core ... my best guess is they just kept Zack's death for Crisis Core, especially if the cut scenes are anime-like

I agree with your spoiler RikWeaN. That, to me, was a huge part of this and it wasnt really what I was expecting. Really to me, it didnt last long
