Err...can someone explain to me...
What Ramuh is doing in the Cleft of Dimensions? I never bothered to get him in world one, and now he's suddenly showed up right outside Halycanos' Castle. It wasn't the first time I had gone though this section, I was doing some turbo levelling to try and get to level 99 (which I have now...yay) and he just randomly showed up like a normal encounter, but with boss music...
Explanation?
I would imagine it's some way to gain the Ramuh summon since you missed it earlier in the game. But I've always obtained Ramuh the first chance I get, so I don't know how you would go about obtaining him now.
Presumably, it's just a mistake in the enemy placement. It'd be weird if it were intentional, considering the game doesn't offer any means to get the rest of the missable summons.
I doubt it's international, this was a ROm version of the game...
...don't judge me, I also have the anthology version. But turbo leveling is the only far to go when it takes 100 hours to reach level 99...

that's pretty cool, though. more fun fighting Ramuh there than those annoying ninja guys.
i reckon its a glitch but it might be intentional. if shiva or golem ranadomly turn up that proves its deliberate and meant to give you all missable summon monsters but i think its a glitch(did you get the summon when you beat him because if you didnt that might mean its just a random encounter.)

It's probably not a glitch in the game since it happens in all versions. More likely it's just an incorrectly set probability level for Ramuh or something.
Yep, I was able to use him afterwards, as if I had beaten him in the forest originally. He even gave the whole 'you have Ifrit?' speech...
Have you missed any other summons? I'm curious to see if they show up too now.
Just Hydra and one more of the earlier ones (the one that casts petrify).
I doubt Hydra will show up, but the other was some form of encounter if I remember correctly so...
