Actually it was a story about how the WEAPONs had been imprisoned and locked away by the cruel ruthless ancients, Sephiros wanted to help them and set them free but Aeris wanted the WEAPONS to suffer, suffer until the end of time.
Seffi summoned metoer as a way of just breaking the WEAPONS out of of their prison and when the WEAPONs went on the rampage was just because Humans looked just like their unjust imprisoners... they didn't know the difference. cos they're metal and, ya know, dumb.
